Speakers and experts on the issues that matter.

18 July 2026
A one-day festival of talks, performances, bazaar, exhibitions, and films to commemorate World Refugee Day.

The Refugee Festival was founded by renowned investigative journalist, Mahi Ramakrishnan, in 2016, through the first event held at the Black Box in Publika in August that year.
Its success, and the heart-warming feeling it brought to participants and visitors alike, saw it become an annual event.
Each festival offers an interactive and entertaining way for audiences to engage with refugee communities through their cultural expressions, including music, dance, art and storytelling.
A bazaar is also held at the live events, allowing refugee chefs and artisans to share their flavours and craft with visitors.
